MOVEMENTS OF SHIPPING.
The Matson liner Mariposa sailed late on Saturday afternoon for Sydney and Melbourne. The vessel will return to Auckland on her return voyage to San Francisco on January 13. Delayed over the week-end the Union Company's steamer Waipiata sails at 3 p.m. to-day for Wellington and South island ports. The steamer Karepo has been delayed at Grey mouth and is expected to leave to-day for Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.) The Anchor Line motor vessel Taupata arrived at Onehunpa this niorninji from Xelson and will sail on lior return at noon to-morrow. (X.S.S. Co.)
