■ —• MAORI SOLDIER CHARGED. (0.C.) GISBORNE, this day. A M»>ri sold : er appeared in the Police Court to-day charged with the theft of £35, the property of Pomare Urlich. Accused, Wiremu Henare, alia* George Williama, alias William Edwards, is a soldier in training at Papakura military camp, and is on leave on his holidays. On the application of DetectiveSergeant Waterson, Henare was remanded until January 3, bail of £20 being allowed, with one surety of a like amount.
