CAR FALLS INTO GORGE.
. When the motor car in which he was riding fell 60ft into the Hunua Gorge at about 1.30 a.m. yesterday, Mr. James Keith Laker, aged 25, single, a farmer, of Hunua, suffered a fractured skull. The other passenger in the car climbed back to the road, walked some distance to the pumping station and called Dr. G. W. Lock, of Papakura. On ,his, T arriyal he treated the injured man and brought niffl to the road. Hie condition td-daV was fair.
A broken leg wae suffered by Mr. Warwick Hubert Pile, single, aged 25, of 76, View Road, Mount Eden, as. the result of a motor car and a motor cycle collision yesterday afternoon. Concussion and internal injuries were suffered by a message boy, Samuel Davis, ag«d Iβ, of 31, Victoria Street, Avondale, when he was knocked from his bicycle by a motor lorry on Saturday morning. As the result of a collision between hie motor car and a motor truck, Mr. E Whittaker, of 200, Balmoral Road, Mount Eden, suffered broken ribs, and his sister, Mies E. Whittaker, of 314, Paniell Road, received a deep cut in the forehead. Both were treated at the casualty department.
