! FEAR OF MAJOR EPIDEMIC. I (Reed. 9.30 a.m.) TOKYO, Oct. 14. [ The Hsinking correspondent of the Domei News Agency reports that 18 people died in a bubonic plague outbreak on September 24. The authorities, fearing a major epidemic, have prohibited gatherings, closed theatres and ordered a thorough cleaning of the city. They b&ve banned unmasked people from the streets and quarantined five districts.
