MILITARY NEEDS.
TREATMENT OF SOLDIERS.
The Director-General of Health, Dr. Al. H. Watt, in a letter to the Hospital Board, said that work would be commenced shortly to build the new 150bed hospital on the Domain site, and it was expected that the building would be erected within live month*. It was suggested that soldier patients should be accommodated in the Princess Mary block as a commencement, and when it bccame necessary to overflow from that block -wards in the main building should be made available as required up to 150 beds. Dr. Watt urged that the orthopaedic department should be extended to a point sufficient to cope with all returned soldiers requiring treatment. The letter was received.
