CO-OPERATION OF PLAYERS AND OFFICIALS COMMENDED.

Appreciation of the co-operation of ■players and officials was expressed by Mr. Grey Campbell, chairman of tto*- Auckland Rugby League, when it entertained representatives of the Senior Olwbe Officers' Association last evening. Mr. Campbell said the injured players' fund was really the work of the association.

Mr. F. T. McAneney. chairman of the Officers' Association, thanked the chairman tor hi* remarks, and paid • tribute to the ladles' social committee for Its wonderful efforts to provide funds for Injured players.

Two prominent South Auckland representatives, G. W. Moyles and R. C. Deverall. were transferred to the Manukmu Club. Both players are eligible for the Pnelan Shield match next Saturday.

A presentation of a blazer, a fountain pen Mid pencil was made to Mr. L. Rout, secretary ol the primary school boys' committee. Mr. Campbell paid a tribute to Mr. Rout's excellent work during the past ten years, addlnf that the present success of boys' competition was due to the secretary's administration. Mr. Rout suitably replied. It was decided to play the final of the Phelan Shield on Saturday week, the winner ot next Saturday's match to play Mount Albert.

Mr. W. Opil. secretary of the Old Players , Association, wrote expressing thanks for the use of Carlaw Park on Saturday, October 18, for playing a game between old representative players and South Auckland.

A report was read on the primary school boys' competitions, and the following were declared the winners of the various championships:—Senior grade, Richmond: Intermediate grade, Newton; Junior grade, Oreen Lane; seven-a-slde, Manukau. A motion of sympathy was passed to Mr. J. Clark, a member of the executive, whose father died recently.
