MR. JOHN RUDDY.
The death has occurred at Te Hana, North Auckland, of Mr, John Ruddy, an old colonist and member of the Armed Constabulary. Mr. Ruddy was aged 87. He came to the Dominion from Bombay in the troopship Light Brigade, arriving in 18%4, and afterwards served in the Armed Constabulary under Colonel Lyons. For a period he was caretaker of the Ellerslie racecourse. A member of the Masonic fraternity, he had also been associated with Lodge Manukau and the Whakatane Lodge.
