PARENTS AT ORAKEI.
NO SPREAD OF TYPHOID.
"There is no cause for alarm; every precaution has been taken to ensure that there will be no "spread of the outbreak." This statement has been made by Dr. T. J. Hujrhes, district officer of health at Auckland, in reference to reported cases of typhoid fever at the iOrakei Maori villa jre.
On July 10 two children from the village had been taken to hospital, and a month later two more persons contracted the illneS=. he £aid.
"Parents need have no fears about the health of the children at the Orakei school," said Dr. Hu<rhes. "Isolation and inoculation precautions have been taken to prevent any spread of the disease. Apart from those mentionejj tibir ? have been no further cases since."
