AIR FORCE TOUR.
SELECTION COMMITTEE.
INTERVIEWS IX AUCKLAND.
On its third tour, the selection committee of the Royal New Zealand Air Force this morning began interviewing Auckland candidates for the air-crew section of the service. About 500 men are to ibe interviewed here. The committee consists of FlightLieutenant A. C. McArthur, Pilot-Officer R. Porter, and Mr. E. Caradus, educational director for the R.N.Z.A.F. Candidates for selection as pilots, observers and air-gunners, have already been interviewed on this present trip at Xapier, Gieborne, Whakatane, and Tauranga. Auckland interviews will be dealt \yith until the end of next week, and the committee then goes north to Whangarei. After that, three days will be spent in Hamilton, and the interviewing of Wellington candidates will make the third Xorth Island tour complete.
Members of the committee stated this morning that the types of men coniinc forward were "excellent."
