MINER INJURED.
PREMATURE EXPLOSION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI. Friday. When engaged blistering a boulder in a quartz pass in No. 8 level, Martha mine, this morning, Mr. J. Berry Young, an unmarried man. sustained severe lacerations on the lower part of his face, caused by a charge of gelignite exploding prematurely.
Mr. Berry, who is a member of Hutton's party, received attention at the mine dressing station and later was admitted to hospital.
