ACTING-MAJOR G. B. WARD. WELLINGTON MEMBER OP B.E.F. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. , News has been received that ActingMajor G. B. Ward, on active sen-ice in France, is reported missing. He is a son of Mr. 11. IT. Ward, of Knight's Road, Lower Hutt, and went to England before the war and joined the British Army, where 'he found rapid promotion. I Acting-Major Ward is well known in New Zealand golf, and was finalist in the German championship shortly before the outbreak of • hostilities. - ' '."
