Arms And Machines Of War From U.S.A. PURCHASES BY BRITAIN. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 28. The Minister of Supply, Mr. Herbert Morrison, disclosed that Britain was drawing from the United States ammunition, rifles, 75 mm. guns, tommy guns and fighters and bombers of many types. "These come from stock," he said, "but in no way are they second rate or inferior. "In addition, Britain is receiving a steady and increasing stream of engines of war, particularly aircraft, made in American plants under our orders."
