ARE MEN COWARDS?

The gloom is lifting, and why not? Two cheery writers who once were the mainstay of the "Passing Show" column are still travelling along the Inky Way. Yes, "MaeClure," you are quite right why should we be downhearted and look for dark clouds in a blue sky? And you, "8.C.H.," are also right—why shouldn't men knit? And why shouldn't I again travel along the Inky Way and tell of my youngest son's achievement. I don't think it happened -in camp— hardly think he would be brave enough. To quote a couple of sentences: "Dear Mother,—When I knew that the stork was coming I immediately got under way. My first attempt was to knit a hug-me-tight, and now I've started on a pair of panties; I only hope I'll still be here when the little one arrives" And so a young soldier knits for his first born. And why not? C.P.L.
