TRAINING COLLEGE.
SOLDIERS MOVE OUT. The Training College at Epsom, which has been used for sonic weeks as a temporary hospital to accommodate the overflow of patients from Papakura camp during the influenza epidemic, was vacated yesterday and remaining patients were transferred to the temporary hospital at Ellerslie racecourse. It was stated this afternoon that the college students would probably resume at Epsom on Monday next, and that it was expected that books and equipment would be transferred from the temporary premises in the new Mount Albert school to-morrow. Questioned as to whether it was intended to fumigate the Training College, the Medical Oflicer of Health, Dr. T. J. Hughes, stated that such a course was not necessary in the case of influenza, especially when the eases were of such a mild type. He explained that the building would lie flushed out and that fresh air would further help to dispose of any infection. In the Auckland Hospital there are now 35 soldiers with influenza and 159 arc in the Ellerslie racecourse buildings. About 12 were expected to be admitted to hospital from the camp to-day. Discharges during the day totalled *30.
