TRAINING AIR FORCE.
Thank you for (bringing to the public's notice the inadequacy of the Air Force training in New Zealand. Think of these men who, adventurously inclined, enlisted as pilots, observers' and air gunners, have passed the required medical examination, which undoubtedlv proves they are the pick of New Zeafand, but now have to sit'in patience awaiting the convenience of the authorities. Not only da they have to put up with humiliating inquiries ae to when they are going to join up, ibut have to see their friends sail overseas to duty while they haven't the slightest idea as to when they might receive that long-awaited summons to commence training. Surely their services could be need in someway. Aβ a suggestion why not p-ive them" a good grounding in theory, air navigation, machine-jrunnpry and any other training that is. possible without the use of actual aircraft. They could attend instruction classes daily under similar conditions as those -prepared for the military reserve and eo when aircraft is available instend of months of cramming and swotting the trainees could applv their minds entirely to flyin<r.
