SOLDIERS' WIVES.
I read with interest a reference to military pay for soldiers' wives. I have also heard rumours which eeem to be giving the general public the impression that the wives are not being properly looked after by the military authorities. I am the wife of a soldier in camp with the Third Echelon and I may state that never at any time hae my pay been overdue. It arrives at my home" every fortnight. I pay my accounts and have no worries. To any wife who has not found this to be the ca*e, then I would suggest ehe make sure that her papers, namely, marriage certificate, children'* birth certificates, etc., are in order, ae that eeems to me to foe the only hindrance to the smooth running of payment*.
