AWARD BREACHES.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) KAITAIA, this day. Penalties on five charges were sought in the Kaitaia Court yesterday by the Labour Department against Vegar Bros., restaurant keepers. The charges were alleged failure to keep a time and wages book %in respect to one employee, alleged failure to pay award wages to another, alleged failure to exhibit a copy of the award and of the timetable and alleged failure to allow an employee a half holiday. The Department was represented toy Mr. G. A. C. Adler.
Convictions were entered on all five charges, and total penalties of £5 12/ were imposed.
