TOWN PLANNING.
MAJOR BILL POSTPONED.
SMALL MEASURE DRAFTED. (By Telegraph.—Prees Association.) • WELLINGTON, this day. Addressing the Town Planning Board to-day, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, said lie regretted the impossibility of proceeding with the comprehensive town planning measure which it had been intended to introduce last session. A smaller bill had been drafted, however. It was designed to remove some of the difficulties under which local authorities were working , , and this was now before Ca'binet. He hoped it would bo introduced this session, but there was difficulty in securing attention for anything other than war measures at the present time.
