An order made by the Price Investigation Tribunal is gazetted to-night fixing the following maximum prices at which scrap metal may be sold at any place in New Zealand:— Gunmetal: First grade, 61d per lb; second grade, 6d. Copper: First grade, 6id; second grade, aid. Brass: First grade, od; second grade, 4d. Cast iron: First grade, £4 15/ a ton; second grade, £4. Pure lead: £1 3/ per cwt. Battery lead: 12/ per cwt. Cast aluminium: 5d per lb; rolled, 9d. Zinc castings: 16/ per cwt. Zinc sheet: 15/ per cwt. In each case the price is for delivery to the purchaser.
