UNITED CLUB.
At the annual meeting of the United Croquet Club the retiring president, Mrs. W. Powlev, presented the trophies for the past season's matches. Officers elected for the ensuing season were:—President, Mrs. R. Mcßride; vice-presidents, Mrs. W. Kirk and Mrs. L. Burton; honorary secretary, Mrs. I. E. Finch; honorary Miss *A. Joyce; general committee, Mrs. A. Crexford, Mrs. (J. Gibson, Mrs. K. Leonard, Mrs. W. Gilmour, Mrs. L. Heard, Miss Barber. In appreciation of the services so generously given during ten years as president and as a mark of esteem, Mrs. Powley was asked to accept life membership of the club, and to be ex officio on all committees.
