CONTROL BOARD'S DECISION. SCRUM PROBLEM AGAIN UNDER CONSIDERATION. The liecctiity for an improvement in the division of the ball jn scrums was further referred to at the meeting of the Auckland Kugby League Control Board last night, when it was decided to confer next week with representatives of the Referees' Association, Appointment Board and members of the New Zealand li oferees' Assoeiation. Ou it living reported that the King's Birthday was not to be observed on Monday, it was derided to postpone the annual Maori-l'akeha fixture. Mr. 11. Doble was deputed to act for the Board in connection with the proposed combined day, to be lield at Devonport in aid iif the Spurts Queen in the Sick and Wounded Soldiers' Carnival. 't he Ponsonby C'iul) wrote acknowledging a letter dealing wirh tiie lack of proper r-prK's in players' boots, and approved the suggestion of regular oilieial inspection.
