Advice is stiTl awaited in Auckland as to the rhoiee of a candidate to represent the Xt>w Zealand labour party in til:* pending by-election to fill the vacancy in Parliament caused by the de.ith of Mr. M. J. Savage. A by-election is certain as the " Communist party has decided to contest the seat and Mr. Gordon Watson has been chosen na the party's candidate. The, National party has not yet made a decision with respect to the seat, apparently awaiting the issuing of the writ hrfnrr tjjrjnj gqtian.
