MANUREWA BOROUGH COUNCIL. A meeting of the Manurewa Borough Council was held lasl evening, the Mayor, Mr. W. J. Fersusou, presiding. Rate Collection.—The clerk reported that of the total rates (£6TO6) levied £5811, or 86.6 per cent, was collected, the discount allowed beinj £1M 19/3. Arrears amounting to £7.10 were collectsj, and the overdraft was £i'2o 7/. Lighting Town Clock.—The postmaster advised that the Department would arrange for the lighting of the town clock at an estimated coet of £17. It was decided to take no action.
