LONG SERVICE AWARD.
INSPECTOR *FOR S.P.C.A.
At the monthly meeting of the executive of the Society for the Prevention of chairman, Mr. K. C. Aekins. presented a medal from the society to Mr. J. Munro, honorary inspector, for his valuable services to the society over a period of 26 years. In the course of his reply, Mr. Munro save some instances of the difficulties under which his duties were conducted.
It was resolved to communicate with the federation of the S.P.C.A. in Wellington to ascertain whether it could brinj; influence to bear for the introduction of more humane traps to New Zealand.
