MILITARY RESERVE.
DECISION TO CONTINUE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. About 50 returned soldier members of the New Plymouth detachment of tile National Military Reserve decided tonight to continue as an organisation, holding regular monthly parades. The decision was reached as an alternative to a. suggestion that, because there appeared little need for the organisation, it might go into recess. Statements were made (hat the Wellington and Palmerston North detachments had already gone into recess, but a letter from the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, expressed a keen desire for the detachment to remain as an active unit, ready at all times in case of emergency for the defence of New Zen land.
