AIR FORCE TRAINEES.
OTAHUHU SMOKE CONCERT.
Upon rising to reply to the toa.-t of "The Instructional Staff' , at a Miioke concert arranged by the members of the Otahuhu School of' the Royal Xew Zealand Air Force, Flying-Ofticer A. T. Giles leceived an ovation from llie 00-odd trainees present. The gathe.ing was held in the Auckland <ias Cnmpany's Otahuhu hall, and the atmosphere was one of "pianos end engines.
Mr, R. Lamb was in tile chair and a highly interesting musical program me was enjoyed. The li*t included the King, the Otnhrini Borough Council. Otahuhii Railway Workshops personnel, Royal Air Force. 1914-lS Veterans, the Merchant Service, the Hopefuls (first term trainees) and the Optimists (second term trainees). Musical items were rendered by Messrs. ' Ron PorU-r. Ossic Clements, Jim Mercer and Law. Mr. Dan Flood played the ae-Miu-paninients and Dick Richards' orch?stni played many popular numbers.
