OBITUARY.
MR. DOUGLAS REID.
The death has occurred of Mr. Douglas Reid, a trustee of the Pitt Strept Methodist Church and formerly a city business man, at the age* of 67 years. Mr. Reid was well known among the needy of .Auckland for his untiring work on their behalf. Born and educated at Thames. Mr. Reid later came to Auckland, where he became the proprietor of several retail shops in the meat trade. On shifting to Papatoetoe he and his family took an active'interest in church and social work there and later, on returning to Auckland again, he was appointed a trustee of the Pitt Street Methodist Church. Mr. Reid is survived hy his . wife, (Hie eon and three daughters.
