SALE OF NIGHTBEAM.
PURCHASED BY MR. F. W. HUGHES. NIGHT PILOT ALSO FOR SYDNEY. The sale of the two-year-old Nightbeam \ has been completed and the purchaser is Mr. F. W. Hughes, of Sydney, who is deported to have paid over £2000 for the Night Said colt. Mr. Hughes bought! Rival Hit from the Clifford stable some: time ago. Nightbeam, who is to leave next week Won the Great Northern Champagne Stakes at Ellerslie last month, and this ■with his other successes this season brought his total 6take money to £1290. He is engaged in the A.J.C. Derby and St. Leger, the V.R.C. Derby and St. Legcr, and the Caulfield Guineas next season. Nightbeam was owned by Mrs. W. D. Graham, of Auckland, and she intends to send Night Pilot (another two-year-old which she races) to. Sydney in company with Nightbeam. Night Pilot will be grained there for Mrs. Graham by F. McGrath.
