An allegation that a member of the council's staff had been distributing literature and other matter disloyal to the Empire, and a proposal that he should be dealt with promptly and decisively, were made at a meeting of the Rotorua Borough Council bq Mr. E. T. Johnson. The matter was diecussed in committee and a sub-commit-tee was set up to investigate the matter and to report to the council in committee.
