ANNUAL CONVENTION. NEW PRESIDENT ELECTED. COMMITTEES APPOINTED. The Church of Christ conference, held in the Town Hall concert chamber yesterday, was largely attended, over GOO people participating in the Communion service, at which Mr. A. Donald, president of the conference, presided. A united choir took part in the musical part of the service, and delegates from many churches assisted in the ministrations. Mr. V. C. Stafford, of Wellington, was the speaker on the subject of the Church of Chri*t contribution to "The Living Church." All available accommodation »"as filled in the evenins when Mr. C. G. Flood, of Christclmrch. wa.« the preacher, and at the close of the service throe young people made public confrssion of fnith. At the annual conference Mr. J. K. Robin«on. of Nelson, was elected president for the ensuing year. It was decided that Mr. E. P. Aderman. of Auckland, will preach the conference in 1941. when the location will be Greymouth. The following committees were appointed:— General Executive and Home Mission Committee (location Wellington).— Messrs. J. W. Avton. R. Downev. G. Fret well. F. W. Tullvn. R. W. SimVon. V. C. Stephens. W. E. Vickery. Mr<. M. Phillips.' The report of the Dominion Bible School Committee, presented by Mr. S. R. Knapp. of Christchurch. and adopted, stated that benefit and help to the Dominion schools had resulted from contact made with them by the committee. and progress had been made through the Dominion Teachers' Convention towards their ideal of evanjielisins through the medium of the Bible School. Several resolutions were carried.
