Disdain Gallops Well—Work at Riccarton. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CIIRISTOHURCII, this day. Density, ridden by his trainer, D. E. Cotton, put up the best gallop at Riccarton -this morning, running live furlongs on the outside of the course proper in 1.1 3-5, the last four furlongs in 4S -l-ss. She was under a good hold all the way and can be depended on to give others a hard task to catch her in the Great Easter. Conditions were good, both tracks providing fast going, though the plough was more popular than the course proper. Other smart gallops were those of Kightcalm, Ail Night, Stabilise, Cymric and Prediction, over six furlongs, and Fetriby and Knight Commander over a mile.

On the plough Rakahanga and Omapo started off proceedings, Omapo led early and they kept up a solid pace to the. three furlongs post in 3Gs. Rakahanga took the lead in the run home and completed six in 1.16 3-3, Omapo being four lengths back. They went too fast early to complete the task nolidly. Night Glass ran live furlongs in 1.3 2-5, time that Doria bettered when she rau away from Pleading in the straight to record 1.3 1-5. Indian Sun went over the same ground in 1.3 4-5, while Alias followed a little later in 1.3 2-5. All these horses worked well. Great Swoop and Scold finished together at the end of seven furlongs in 1.32, the first half mile taking 5f 2-ss. Areas was not hurried over six furlongs in 1.0 4-5, tlie first two in 27 l-ss. Wild Talk ran six furlongs iu 1.17, the first three in 30s.

Lord Midas gave his; best showing for some time when he finished half a length in front of Nightdress at the end of live furlongs in 1.3. Lockit, after taking 30 3-5s for the first three furlongs, completed sis in 1.17 3-5. The Wrecker strode out freely over six furlongs in 1.17, the first two in 25 l-ss. Disdain had to be held back to Lord Lynn at the end of six furlongs in 1.15 2-3, the first three in 3(i 3-ss. It was a smart gallop on the part of both horses. Trench Law was no match for Siegmund over a mile in 1.44 2-5. the first half taking 51 •)-.-'. Trench Law was being kept up to :, : s work early, but did not make any imp.cssion in the straight, being beaten by a length. Retrogression put up the good time of 1.2 1-5 for live furlongs, beating Khuija by a good length. Retrogression should show up in the Kussley Handicap. Kiploy, after running the first three furlongs in 30 3-ss. completed seven in 1.32. Gold Nugget joined him at the five furlongs and set the pace until well into the straight where Ripley gradually overhauled him to win by a neck. King's Toast, after being troublesome at the "start, ran right away from Iceland Spar over six furlongs in 1.15 3-r>, the first three in 3G 3-ss. King's Toast is very well. Willie Win ran the first half of a mile in 53 2-5s and completed the distance m 1.44 1-5. He is in good shape. Raoliurn Goes Well. Not Out was restricted to three-quarter pace over six furlongs. Klainniarion ran six furlongs in 1.10 1-5, the final three in 37 3-. K. Dnncannon went oyer the same ground in 1.16 2-5, the last three in SO 3-es. Cymric and Prediction galloped well over six" furlongs in 1.1.7 2-5. the first three in 37 2-3s. Rue and Muzzier ran their live furloncs in 1.3, the final half-mile in JO 2-ss. Wagner was no use to Raeburn over seven furlongs in 1.31 1-7. the lastnamed finishing well clear. The first three furlongs took 3S 1-:*--. Xig-Monlm. doing his work easily, put up the good time of 1.15 1-5 for six furlongs, the first two in 23 3-3s, and three in 30 2-."x.
