MODEL YACHTING.
TUI WINS SIR ERNEST DAVIS CUP. The harbour race for model yachts for a cup presented by Sir Ernest Davis, promoted annually by the Tamaki Yacht Cluh. was sailed on Sunday in a light north-east breeze, and was won by Mr. A. Morton's Tul, of the Orakei Basin Model l'acht Club, by a margin of 5s from G. Broun's Flying Cloud, of the Ponsonby Model Yacht Club. Corrected times place Tui (A. Marton) 1. Flyinir Cloud (G. Broun) 2, Miss Orakei (R. McKay) 3, and Golden Bubble (R. Ross) 4. Only 5s separated tfce first and second boats, with lm 40s between second and third, and 5s between third and fourth. POINT CHEVALIER CLUB. The following are the results of the Point Chevalier Model Yacht Club's races held yesterday afternoon in a steady we»terlj breeze. C Class.—First race: Taree 1, Alieen 2. Second race: Vamp 1, Aileen 2. Third race: Taree 1. Kewa 2. B Class. —First race: Dorothy M. 1. Karehohu 2. Second race: Nymph 1, Joy 2. Third race: Joy 1, Karehuhu 2. The races started and finished off the Point Chevalier Sailing Club's pavilion, Joan Street.
ON THE MANTTKATT. RACE TO CORNWALLIS. The Manukau Yacht and Manukau Cruising Clubs held a combined race to Cornwall te on Saturday in a light breeze, changing from south-west to east. Vigilant won in each club. The results were; — Manukau Yacht Club. —Cruising race: Vigilant, 73m, 1; Early Bird. 43m, 2; Tdipsy, 89m, 3. Z class: Firedy, scr, 1; Flirt, 7m 30s, 2. Manukau Cruising Club.—Cruising race : Vigilant. 62m, 1; Early Bird. 46m. 2; Topsy, 40m, 3. Z class: Flirt, 9m 30s, 1; Firefly, scr, 2.
OTAHUHTT CLUB. i In conjunction with People's I>ay at Seaside Park, OtnhulHi, the Otahnhu Sailing Club conducted a sealed handicap event over two rounds of the club's course, an approximate distance of six miles. Ten boats started and the result was:— Mystic, sm, 1; Kismet, 10m, 2- r Atalanta, lm, 3; and Raider, 9m, 4.
