CONSCIENTIOUS ' OBJECTORS. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, February 22. The Minister of Labour, Mr. Ernest Brown, said that the handling of the problem of conscientious objectors was immeasurably better than in the last war. He added that hardship committees had considered 13,052 eases for postponement of service and had granted 76G0 and refused 5386.
