Beef.—Our yarding of beef was more than an average one. There was a ready demand, with valuer on a par with laet week's sale. The quality of t'lie ox beef was not as good as the previous week, but the demand was steady, and late rates again ruled. An average entry of cows and heifers sold readily at full late rates. The px beef quality penned was not up to the usual standard. Competition was keen and last week's quotations were maintained. Cows and heifers were also keenly sought and _ prices were on a par with last week.
