PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE.

MOUNT EDEN BRANCH. i The first meeting of the Mount Eden branch of the Auckland Metropolitan Tatriotic Committee in the new year was held in the Centennial room*, Mount Eden Road, the Mayoress, Mrs. R. J. Mills, presiding over a large gathering of women. As the result of earlier efforts of the branch a considerable quantity of completed woollen articles have been returned to headquarters. In addition, other articles were freely donated in time for distribution as Christmas gifts to men serving, while large quantities of reading matter have also been received. It was decided to. hold the meetings fortnightly. Regular supplies of materials arc now hoped for, so that no further delay will occur In the provision of the comforts needed.
