INTER-PRO VINCI AT, MEETING. NATIONAL CHAMPIONS TO COMPETE. Several of New Zealand's foremost swimmers have accepted invitations to compete at the inter-provincial carnivals which will be held In the Newmarknt Olympic Pool next Saturday and Monday night*.They are:—R. Loffley, of Rotorua, New Zealand junior champion last year. Whiti, Morrison and I»friey are all Maoris. The visitors will be matched with Auckland champions in contests over mr.tric distances. The carnivnls will be promoted by the Newmarket Amateur Swimmini; Club and the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association. MOUNT EDEN CLUB. SECOND CARNIVAL. TO-NIGHT. Swimmers who represnuted Auckland at the New Zealand championship meeting in Wellinjrton last week and did well in the Yaldhurst Shield competition will be among the contestants at the Mount Edon Amateur Swimming Club's carnival in the Bellevue Road Baths to-niirlit. The national sprint champion, P. Hanan. will compete in the 30 yards and 220 yards handicap events. A lengthy programme of handicap and inter-club events has lieon arranged.
