SHOW GOES ON.
FRIDAY IS OPENING OAT. With arrangements too far advanced to allow any change oi plan, the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association will carry on with their annual show at the Epsom Showgrounds. Hie show is due to on Friday with judging daj\ Kr* new* of the projected arrival of the Achilles was conveyed l>y the "Star" to Mr. W. F. O'Donnell, secretary oi the A. and P. Association, and lie expressed regret that anything that his association had in hand might clash with the rushed arrangements for the welcome to the Achilles. Plans were too far advanced for any cancellation, but his committee would have pleasure, he said, in trying to make some arrangements for the Saturday, "People's Day" at the show. He hoped that the Achilles' men would be able to go out there to be welcomed by both country and city people.
