THINGS I LOVE.

(By Valerie Barnes.) Tho white foaming curds Of tho breakers on the sand, And the screaming sea-birds By salt sea breezes fanned, Are the things I love. A night calm and serene, A river rippling by, The moon with silver sheen Gliding across the sky, And the stars above. The bellbird's song so clear, Tho call of the tiny wren, And even, to my ear, Tho clucking of tho hen, The cooing of tho dove. A quiet country lane, Tho springtime's early fiow'r3, Rain on the window pane, Rose entwined bowers, These do I love.
