FORMER AUCKLANDER.

TELEGRAPH OFFICER'S DEATH

The death has taken place of Mr. P. H. Mason, deputy chief engineer to the Post and Telegraph. Department at Wellington.

Mr. Mason left Auckland, where he was district telegraph engineer, early last year to take up hie Wellington appointment. He had been in Auckland for two years, prior to which he was attached to the head office of the Department in Wellington as field engineer.

He served in the Auckland district some years ago as a telegraph engineer and in 1918 had charge of the eastern district. Mr. Mason had also been stationed in fiisliorne and Otago.

Mr. Mason's drafli occurred at his residence. :!S. Trent Street. Inland Bay, Wellington.
