BEATS BEAU VITE.

The track was easy for galloping at Trentham this morning, after two days of rain, but the weather has broken and there is every indication of excellent going on Thursday. Half the visiting horses are on the scene.

Laughing Lass beat Beau Yite by a length over a mile in 1.41%, after running the first half-mile in 495. The former worked really well. Queen of Song, with an advantage in the weights, beat Malagigi and Siegmund over a mile in 1.44. Centrepose was six lengths clear of Sly Fox at the end of a mile in 1.44%, the last halfmile taking 545. Centrepoise was impressive. Gladynev was always a length clear of Beau Repaire over a similar distance in 1.44%, the last half-mile in 535. Mona's Song easily beat Raana in the same time, finishing strongly. Fils de Vaals was too good for Ugly Duckling over half a mile in 53 l-ss, and Arvakur was not extended in beating Disdain over five furlongs in 1.4, the last half-mile in 50s. Rakahanga slmded Alunga at the end of five furlongs in 1.5. and Spanish Lad was going better than Myarion over a similar distance in 1.4%. Mayfair was three lengths in front of Olympus in 1.5, which was a good effort for a hack. Bold Step finished resolutely to beat Black Thread and Blonde Princess over half a mile in 555. Flam, marion was three lengths clear of Baran after traversing seven furlongs in 1.34%, the last half-mile taking 54%5. Baran may be ridden on Thursday by M. McCarten. Harina had the better of Areas over seven furlongs, the last six taking 1.19. In a similar task Full Hand registered 1.35, the last half-mile in 535. Trebor had an advantage over Lord Cavendish over six furlongs in 1.20, and Algerian was in front of Pekoe in the same time. Galteemore and Pearl of Asia covered a mile in 1.45, with the former a length in front. Meadow beat Serenata comfortably over six furlongs in 1.19, the last half-mile in 51s. Wings of Song ran half a mile in 52%e, Dady Tinkle taking 51s. while Malik Kafur and Thrasos required 545. Grandora beat Sir Beau by over a length in a half-mile sprint in 49%5, the best of the morning.

Siilieman has arrived and will be competing on the later days. Shy and Cymric will not compete on the first day, while Duncannon is stated to be an unlikely runner in the Telegraph Handicap.
