Buy 20,000 Dollars Of War
Loan Bonds.

OTTAWA, January 15.
The Dionne quintuplets, through their guardians, bought 20,000 dollars of war loan bonds when the sale of the 200,000,000 dollars issue was opened to-day.
The Minister of Finance, Lieutenant - Colonel J. L. Ralston, in a broadcast speech, said the cash, subscriptions to the war loan would be limited to 200,000,000 dollars. Small investors would be given preference in allotments. Even if the loan was immediately over-subscribed it would remain open to allow small investors to record their applications.
Referring to the increase in Canada's national income, the Minister revealed that British purchases from Canada in the first year of the war probably would approximate 400.000,000 to «600.000,000 dollars.
