SMALL BOY DROWNED.
KERIKERI INLET FATALITY.

WHANGAREI, this day.
Straying away from liis companions while playing oil the beach at Purcrtlfc, Kerikeri Inlet, a two-year-old boy, Lloyd Hansen, was later found drowned. The discovery was made by his father, Mr. S. Hansen, wliose farm runs right down to the water's edge. Yesterday afternoon Lloyd and scVCril other children went to paddle in the shallow water. On the return of Lloyd's companions, Mr. Hansen inquired as to the whereabouts of Lloyd, the youngest in the party. None of the children, the eldest of whom was eight, was able to tell him. Mr. Hansen hurried to the beach where he found the body in less than two feet of water.
