When the Plunket Shield cricket match between Auckland and Wellington was abandoned at Basin Reserve yesterday, when the pitch was under water in the morning Auckland's bowling analysis in Wellington's second innings, which stood at seven for 163 (extras 11) was:— O. M. R. W. G. L. Weir .. 17 6 30 3 J. Cowie 12 2 37 2 D. C. Cleveney ir» 4 47 1 A. M. Matheson 11 3 22 0 C. E. Burke ..4 — 16 0 The scores were :— Auckland : 134 and 276. Wellington : 164 and 163 for seven. Wellington thus required 83 runs to avert defeat and had only three wickets to fall.
