NO CHANGE IN AUCKLAND YET.

Owing to the increased cost of freights and insurance brought about by war risks, the price of case whisky has been increased in Wellington by (id a bottle and of case gin by 3d a bottle. The increases there -were authorised by the Price Investigation Tribunal, and it is stated that further increases are likely. There has been no change as yet in the prices charged in Auckland. The president of the Auckland Licensed Victuallers' Association, Mr J V. Griffen, stated that the price had not yet been increased by the wholesale merchants and that until then it would not be increased to the public. He anticipated that action would be taken after the holidays.
