HUME STEEL PROSPECTS.
Prospects of Hume Steel, Limited, for the current financial year appeared good, tho chairman, Mr. L. J. Clifford, told shareholders ut the nnnual meeting in Melbourne.
Taxation, however, was a heavy burden. Provision in the previous yeur was £9500, anrj in the year just ended £17,500. The manuring director, Mr. W. R. Hume, snid that accumulated work on hand and contemplated orders should leave no cause for worry this year. Every- , tiling appeared satisfactory.
