NOAHAU'S TAUKANGA WIN.

As was expected. the scratch boat Ranger was the first of the four kcelers to complete the race from Auckland to Tauranga. On corrected times the big keeler had to take thir<il place, the winner being Ngahau. who beat Ranger by lh 34m 555. The race started at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Ranger reached the finishing line a't The Mount, yesterday- afternoon at 25 i minutes past noon. She thus .covered the distance in 21h 25m 30s. The Tauranga-owned boat Xgahuia finished second at 5h 50m 20s. Xgahnu at 5h 52m 355, and Restless at 7h 50m 2s. On corrected times the plaeings were *— Ngahau <7h) 1, Xgahuia <61i) 2, Ranger (scr) 3.
