.The Oxford Group lias received a cable n<lviAiiig that the United States Secretary oi War, th« Hon. Harry Wood ring, in a broadcast on Wednesday night, said that hi* first duty was to insist that the United States Army wa« prepared to meet any threat of aggression which might impair America's peace and security. He said that at this time the greatest danger to the continuance of democratic government was the ever■widenmg circle of conflict now raging in Europe.
