Henderson:—The Henderson branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union held a special meeting in the Methodist Church recently, for the purpose of presenting the prizes offered annually by the union for the best essay on "Temperance." written by the boys and girl#; Of Standards V. and VI. of the Henderson public school. The children gave a splendid programme of songs and recitations. After the presentation of the prizes, the president, Mrs. Chadwiek, and Mrs. Dickenson gave a talk on "Tie Dangers of Alcohol."
