RESCUED FROM RIVER.

AN AIPUKURAU, Friday
The discovery of a pair of crutches and a hat on the Waipukurau traffic bridge to-day led to the rcecuc from the river of an clderlv man.
A g-irl saw the man's head above water below the bridge. She called for lieln. and the man, who has only one leg and is an inmate of ihe Waipukurau Hospital, was rescued.
