MILK PRICES.
CITY CONSUMERS BENEFIT.
After a protracted discussion, the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council decided to reduce the price of milk to city consumers from 6Jd a quart to fid a quart. It was also resolved that the price on the North Shore should remain at 6d a quart as at present.
These prices are to operate for five months as from October 1 next. It was also agreed that the dairymen's margins iwot>ld be 10£ d a gallon for the five summer months from October 1. and from March 1. 1940, would be increased for the following six months to 1/1} a gallon.
